Bob and Anne Hayman shared a lifelong love of music. Anne had a formal foundation in piano while Bob took a more informal route, playing by ear and participating in numerous amateur vocal and instrumental groups from university through church and into retirement.

The Kiwanis Music Festival was an important part of their lives for many years with Bob chairing the Festival's Awards committee, Anne supporting the Festival behind the scenes in many capacities, and their children and grandchildren participating as musicians. Throughout, it was important to them that the fundamental joy and shared delight in making music together be held in highest regard.
