Calvin Jackson was a dedicated musician, starting his career with the Stratford Boys Band in 1937. In October 1954 he moved to St. Thomas to become a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.#41 Concert Band. When the Legion Band folded, he joined the Mocha Tempo Concert band until 2012, when he was invited to join the New Horizon Music Program at the University of Western Ontario.
