Diane Murray-Charrett is a PhD candidate in Music Education at the University of Toronto, where her research focuses on transformation in music education. She holds a Master of Music Education from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Music Education from Brandon University, and Orff Certification from the University of Manitoba. She is a recently retired elementary school music teacher who has led award winning school, regional and community choirs of all ages. Previous conducting engagements include the HDSB Elementary Regional Choir, the Gaudeamus Choirs of Halton Hills, St. John’s United Church Choir (Georgetown), Hamilton Children’s Choir, and the Oakville Choir for Children and Youth. She currently conducts the Cantando Women’s Choir in Georgetown, Ontario.
